I have a friend, who loves everything colorful and bright and who has a little baby, who's gonna turn 1 in January, so I thought I could make a gift for her. Though lately I doubt how sane is she, and really doubt whether I should give her any gifts... Anyway she inspired me, she loves colors, all colors, the brighter the better, and her life's now filled with love of her little family. That's how I got an idea of a love tree, and wanted to add some personal touch - the portraits of the family members.
That's how it started:
A lot of hearts!
And another view with slightly different light.
I painted the sheet of paper with watercolors, colors of a rainbow! After it dried up I made a beehived LOVE sign. Then I cut the frames for photos and started adding hearts.I used 3 shades of red, 3 shades of orange, 2 types of yellow, 5 shades of green. 4 blues and 2 purples, 2 browns for the stem. Made small silhouette hearts, hearts of two drops and "quick" double drop hearts. A total of 131 heart.
By the way, Homyachok challenge will soon have my tutorial about those "quick" hearts published.
A little close up:
And speaking of the photos =) Each is a little toned, mom is reddish, baby's greenish and dad is blueish. Some of you may have noticed that it's Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes and their daughter. And I've mentioned that it was a gift for a lady with a kid so that she could keep her photos in this kind of a frame... Hehe, NO, my friend is not Katie =))) And nope, I'm not his fan and have never been =)))
I wanted to place my friend's photos there, but this work is published in the world wide web, and I'm not sure she'll be happy if she finds out that I publish her pics without her permission, and asking for permission would spoil the surprise... So I simply thought I would make the pics changable and place any mom-dad-baby photos to show it all to you. When I asked Google for there kind of pics, it showed me Tom Cruise. So, why not?! - I thought =) And inserted their pics. Later I found out that they got disvorced, gosh, couldn't they wait till I complete this project, huh?! =))) Well, I don't really care much =)
Hope you like my creation.
Something tells me it could be one the last creations for Homyachok... My baby's learning to sleep at home, not in the carriage outside, and that means I gotta lie down with her all the time. And those 2-3 hours during the weekend I had for my handcrafts when I managed to get her dad accompanying her while she sleeps are now turning into zero. =( And I'm turning itno absolutely full-time mom with absolutely no free time... well, that's life...Join us with your trees!!!
