New quilling challenge on the Homyachok challenge blog. It's a technique challenge: any quilled projects that involves looping, husking or combing. Minimum of rolled elements. Well, I thought, husking - ok, it's great for leaves, for flowers, for feathers, but all those leaves & flowers are so boring... And I started thinking of something different. Let's make some ruffles - I thought! And sketched a little bashful girl in a funny dress. My husband said she's cute and I began making a dress for her in looping technique. That's how she looks:
I had pretty hard time with her eyes, until Svetlana adviced me to change the shape of her rolled eyes. That made the girl look much better! I also added some glossy accents on her iris, so her eyes look shiny and kind. A little close up:
And a close up of her ruffled dress:
I have one friend who llllloves colors =) And I was inspired by her when I made this dress. My little girl has a similar shirt, full of rainbow colors =) so I looked at it for inspiration too =))) And I couldn't decide (yes, I'm pretty unsure lately =( ) about girl's hairdo. I tried to put her pony tails up, but I have to say that I like them down more. Anyway I made pics of that version too and would love to her your opinion - what's better? up or down? big bows or small ones?
Join us with her looped & combed creations for the challenge on Homyachok challenge blog.
Thanks for looking! Be colorful and creative!
